Body construction

All locomotive superstructures are constructed from photo-etched brass parts. The design is first done by CAD then plotted out as colour coded artwork and finally turned into photo-etching master plates. From these plates, any number of sheets can be photo-etched. The flat sheets are folded and pressed to shape in a variety of machines before being soldered together. 'Stanley' bodies are here being assembled.
